Standard Chartered Bank, China-wide

After her first project for the bank in 2009, PAX’s Founder was delighted to be invited back by Standard Chartered to contribute curated acquisitions for the bank’s permanent collection, this time to introduce more diversity and gender parity, both in terms of subject matter and greater representation of female artists. In the first in a series of office projects, this for SCB Guangzhou and Shanghai, the bank sought works exploring themes of Chinese Opera, Jade, Canton Tower and Street Life.

 

PAX is proud to have over half of the artists female, sourcing from an all-women team, and also crucially, many art works coming from artists in second and third tier Chinese cities.
